| Inside this issue... Obama Tells American Kids to Learn Spanish I hope the American public is watching. For months, Barack Obama was a blank slate. The only thing people knew about him was that he gave a good speech and that he wanted "change." This apparently was enough to garner him the Democratic presidential nomination. (That should be a clue to most Americans NOT to vote for him.) But now, with no help from the media, the real Barack Obama is starting to appear.
The media won't write stories about what he says, but they don't need to. With today's technology, we can see for ourselves, and this latest incident is a doozy! Our education system is crazy enough with all these liberal, feel-good programs. Forget adding, subtracting, spelling, and grammar. Now, despite the fact that the rest of the world is learning English, he says that American kids should learn Spanish? What? Learn Spanish? Yes, and it shows just how out of touch and far left Obama is. We need a president who will put America first, not push for our culture to be forgotten. ++ Read More | A Word From Our Sponsor... | If you are looking for a one-stop source for books that counter "mainstream" liberal orthodoxy, you've found it. Adamo How long can Congressional Democrats hope to continue their anti-capitalist, anti-American agenda without facing accountability from the voting public? Current indicators are that they intend to hold firm on their signature issues, believing that the public will simply not recognize the correlation between their actions of recent years, and the horrendous economic fallout that ensued as a direct result. And nowhere can this relationship be seen more clearly than in the skyrocketing energy prices currently threatening to squeeze the vitality from the American middle class. ++ Read More More from GOPUSA's Commentary Page Obama: Equal Pay for Women... Just Not on My Dime By Bobby Eberle Sen. Barack Obama talks a good game. There's talk about hope and change, and hope and change, and even more hope and change. What exactly is he hoping to change? No one really knows, but one thing is clear: the more we get to know him, the more we realize that his actions are quite different than his "hope and change" rhetoric. ++ Read More More from The Loft Alabama News -- Pentagon to seek new bids on military tanker contract that would have brought factory and jobs to Mobile Alaska News -- Bullet line provides political cover Arizona News -- Plan to hike Ariz. lawmakers' pay cut by half Florida News -- Senate prepares to take up housing bill crucial for state. I don't know when Washington will understand what the real issue is... $4.00/$5.00 gas. There is no reason for this, and we have been held captive by the liberals and environmentalist groups for years. McCain is missing a huge opportunity to get the truth out and Bush is nowhere to be found on this. -- Tim Keith, Normal, IL
Paul Weyrich's points are well-taken. It is amazing to me how the liberal leaders have apparently "cornered the market" with their non-sensical environmentalism. -- Paul Feinberg, North Plainfield, NJ
This editorial is very eye opening. I hope all your efforts will bring a solution to our oil crisis! Keep up the great work as you have! -- Rose Martinez, Garden Grove, CA
The Democrats in Congress and, sadly, it seems like many of the Republicans have their own agendas. They do not represent their constituencies but try to act in a parental role deciding what is best for all of us. Just allowing the drilling to begin would provide some hope to the American people even if the positive impact at the gas pumps would be months away. -- David McMurtrie, Plainfield, IL |
