Subject: Join the Illinois Capitol TEA PARTY!
Fellow Illinois Citizens,
As you probably know, Governor Quinn and his greedy friends in the legislature are attempting to pass a HUGE tax hike in the entire state of Illinois. This tax hike will increase the state income tax from 3.5% to 5%, and will also put in place a $99.00 vehicle tag tax.
Now I don't know what universe Governor Quinn lives in, but here on earth this is the sort of thing that harms the economy. Are we going to standby and let them slip this through?
Hopefully not.
Thanks to the good folks who organized the Quincy Tea Party last April, we now have a Tax Protest scheduled in Springfield for next Tuesday, May 19th, 2009.

I know it can be tough to get to Springfield on such short notice and in the middle of the week, but we know for a fact that lawmakers will be in session at this time and we MUST let them know that we won't stand for this!
